The detail of the LOD2 model represents the spatial extent and contour of the objects, allowing the identification of the essential geometry of the objects.
The data set LOD2 models of Rīga neighborhoods consists of:
- For the historical center of Rīga, its protective zone and 13 built-up areas, LOD2 models, which were prepared from the data of the 2022 aerial laser scanning by the order of the municipality of the city of Rīga;
- the LOD2 models of the other territories, prepared by the specialists of the Rīga Local Government City Development Department, using the 2021 aerial laser scanning data of the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency.
