Riga Spatial Plan is a long-term territorial development planning document of Riga municipality, which determines the requirements for the use and construction of the territory, including functional zoning, regulations for the use and construction of the territory, as well as other conditions for the use of the territory. Functional zoning is a part of Riga’s Spatial Plan, which shows the territory’s zoning, territories with special regulations and borders of territories with special status. The data is maintained in the Latvian 1992 coordinate system (LKS-92 TM) with a scale of 1:10 000 accuracy.
The Riga Spatial Plan has been approved by the decision of the Riga City Council on 15.12.2021. binding regulations no. 103 “Binding regulations for the use and construction of the territory of Riga” and shall be implemented from 16.02.2023.
