Search is located in the upper left corner of each thematic map to the right of the navigation tools.
By default, a search type that combines all of the search criteria below is used. By expanding the search tool menu, it is possible to indicate a specific search criterion.
Riga addresses – allows you to search for an object using address data.
Land unit cadastre designation – objects are searched for by the cadastral designation of the land unit.
Land unit part cadastre designation – objects are searched for by the cadastral designation of a part of the land unit.
Building cadastre designation – objects are searched for by the cadastral designation of the building.
Streets – objects are searched by street name.
When you start typing an address, street or combination of cadastral designation numbers, the search engine will automatically offer a menu with objects that contain the already entered letter or number combinations. The object of interest can be selected either from the offered menus or by continuing to enter manually. When the typing is finished, to display the object you are looking for in the map view, you need to press the magnifying glass icon on the right side of the tool or press Enter on the computer keyboard.
Please note! You can also copy the necessary addresses or cadastral designation numbers into the search tool; however, please do not use spaces for the cadastral designation number. The search engine does not recognise cadastral designation numbers with spaces.
The search engine recognises addresses and streets even if the street name is entered in the search engine without using all the words or capital letters contained in the words of the street names. For example, when you enter “barona 34” in the search engine, the search menu will immediately offer the correct address entry “Krišjāņa Barona iela 34”, and when you confirm the search, the map view will automatically indicate the point of the address “Krišjāņa Barona iela 34” and the information window of the search result.
