Invite for business owners to express their opinion on the pedestrian street initiative

Riga Municipality is assessing the possibility of implementing a pedestrian street initiative from 19 September to 20 September during European Mobility Week on the section of Blaumaņa Street between Brīvības Street and Tērbatas Street.

We would like to learn your opinion on the implementation of this initiative, which is being planned to promote environmentally friendly mobility and draw attention to sustainable mobility and an urban environment where people feel safe and free when moving on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport.

Please note that during the operation of the pedestrian street, vehicle traffic will be restricted in the respective sections. This means that it will not be possible to enter or exit the inner courtyards located within these sections, and parking will not be available in these sections.

In order to assess the impact of the initiative and improve its organisation, we kindly ask you to complete the survey and provide your opinion by 8 July 2026.
