Until 20 August, Riga Municipality invites residents\u2019 associations that wish to clean up a municipally owned plot of land and create a more attractive environment in their neighbourhood to apply for municipal support. The available support includes waste collection containers, topsoil and compost for establishing lawns and flower beds, as well as grass seed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Any residents\u2019 association registered in Riga, including apartment owners\u2019 associations, is eligible to apply. Residents must select a municipally owned area in their neighbourhood where they would like either to collect waste or to create, for example, a new flower bed or lawn. Land ownership can be checked on the municipality\u2019s geospatial data website, georiga.eu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Applications received will be reviewed and coordinated with the manager of the relevant land plot. If demand exceeds the available amount of support, applications will be reviewed and approved in the order in which they were submitted, while also ensuring that as many neighbourhoods as possible receive support.
